Aeromancer/Geomancer
Hey sorry for posting another topic regarding Elementalists, I can't find my previous one. Alright you guys have been very helpful in telling me what kind of Elementalist is effective for what. I've decided to make an Aero and Geo. Though it's really hard to use an effective skills for both since they cause exhaustion really fast. I'm sure there're builds so that this doesn't happen as often. I was just wondering, what is your take on the build of an Air/Earth. Also would it help to get Aeromancer armor, I currently have Pyro/Geo armor I would get Aero but i'm not such a rich guy, linen is expensive and my current armor is already infused. And as for stat points, I have 12 on Air, 12 on Earth, 11 on Energy. If you guys feel I should change that, go ahead and tell me. Thanks in advanced

personally i would either choose one or other.......but in saying that earth skills works well with air.....you might need to use alot of refund pts to experiment
btw how many superiors ya using? regarding the use of armour i use the 1.5k aero suit at droknar's forge....more PvPs use air rather than fire |

I have no superiors, my health would shoot to the 300's making me die faster especially for an Elementalist which has bad armor.

I have to agree with only using one line. Is this for pvp or pve? If its for pve, I think its a viable option, but I feel that a aero/geo would lack in pvp. Im no expert, I could be wrong.
Here is my reasoning. An aeromancer is great at dumping large amounts of damage, on a single target, fast. This is because the air line has high damage single nukes that cast fast. Geomancers on the other hand, are known for their protection spells, wards. While you could get some good damage out of the earth line, it would have a longer cast time. In PvP this often means the spell gets interupted alot more, and you dont shell out the damage as fast cause your always watchnig that green bar. I would focus on one line, and get a superior for that line. The 75 health is well worth the amount of damage increase you get. With 16 in air you do 106 damage with 25% AP with Orb, Surge and Chain. |

PvE Aero/Gero would work using air as your nuking power and wards as protection PvP Choose one or the other |

I use the geo side for wards, it's very useful for those pesky Warriors ;-) A superior rune of vigor is a little out my price range right now And as for the staff goes, where is the collector I can get it from, and what does he collect? How did you get so much health?

Well since you have to have 16 air magic to do decent damage, you should have 1 superior air rune and drop earth to around level 10.

My quesiton for you is what is yoru second profession.. there are much better second professions that will Aid you in your Pve and PvP than just all Elemental? if you want to keep some Earth thats fine but just slap +3 with a Minor Earth to +4 and use the ward skills are armor enchantments? no way can you spam elemental AIR/EARTH and last long. your mana pool will be gone in no time even using Elemental Atunement. your better off going with AIR becasue its effective in both PVE and PVP the earth is more usefull to warriors as a sub proffesion than a Primary for a Elementalist. Also check out Water.. they have some nice Armor bonuses also and them pesky Rangers will get you more often than anything else in PvP with Water magic it will save yo rump from there arrows |

hummm... odd combo but very interesting
cant give you much insite on Ranger.. never tired it. what does work well is Monk or Mes. Elementalist have the worst healing skills in the game so addind monk as secondary is a good call.. and Mes have some nice healing skills also and you cant go wrong with some of the Energy steal skills to keep you spamming them magic spells.. my build is Air16 - Water4 - Energy Storage10 - Healing Prayers 8 |
